Focusing on providing innovative services, solutions, and approaches in two main aspects in the eCustoms field – Single Window and UCC

Over the past decades, the customs sector has been going through big reforms. They have brought huge technological, economic, and legal changes to the sector. Customs organizations in the EU and globally face a range of similar challenges. They are mainly connected to growing, liberalizing and keeping up to date with the ever-changing international trade regulations. Hence, national administrations must prepare for the new tasks and activities which they will have to perform. In this regard, they need reliable and experienced partners to support them during the transformation processes. Important requirement is also taking into consideration their local specifications.

Our current work in the eCustoms sector focuses on providing innovative services, solutions, and approaches in two main aspects – Single Window and UCC (Union Customs Code). Most of all, we are proud of our contribution to the development of the EU Customs Process Model and EU Customs Data Model. Further on we established the blueprints related to the development of EU Customs Service Reference Model. This is a business-driven, functional framework which draws the transformation path of the Customs Administrations integration with the existing systems and processes in the current reality.

Moreover, Latona specializes in the preparation of IT strategies, Enterprise Architectures and Service-Oriented Architectures in the custom field.
