Challenge

A strong EA foundation had to be established in order the execution of the strategy of DG REGIO of The European Commission to be secured. In addition, all business, information, process, and technology changes had to be maintained accordingly.

Solution

Latona experts delivered a series of activities, including the drafting and maintaining of the documentation related to Implementation and Convention Guidelines, Governance rules and guidelines, definition of the repository and repository structure, definition of the needed artifacts – templates and metamodels, as well аs organization of training and workshops on Enterprise Architecture and ARIS.

Problems, opportunities, and solutions for business, function, application, and data domains were identified and support to IT projects (WAVE, SFC 2014, etc.) was provided.

As a result, support in the areas related to design and re-design of the organizational structures was provided and standardization of business processes was achieved. The standardization of IT planning activities was enforced, and the replication of IT infrastructure services across business units was minimized.
