Challenge

The Macedonian Customs Administration (MCA) has adopted a new ICT strategy, including a strategy for establishing future interconnectivity with the computerized systems of the EU. The preparations and the connection to the EU New Computerized Transit System (NCTS) were among the pre-requisites of the accession process.

Solution

Latona’s experts dealt with the NCTS-related IT project management of all business and functional aspects of the systems implementation surrounding the introduction of the new computerized system. Owing to the joint efforts between the two parties, MCA strengthened its operational capacity in accordance with the EU standards.
