Revenue Management System of the Bulgarian TAX and Social Contribution Administration
Challenge
The project was part of Revenue Administration Reconstruction Project, which aimed at providing support to the Government in developing a stable and effective public revenue collection system that unifies taxes and social securities.
Solution
Throughout the project Latona experts have provided services for Administrative process optimization; Balance Score Card implementation; Enterprise Architecture and IT Strategy development. The company also developed several specific financial, controlling, and document management functionalities to cover the broad range of tax administration activities.
As a result of the project, the core business processes of the NRA were implemented: establishing effective IT and communications support; consolidation of the core functions of public revenue collection administration, including audit operations, appeals and collection enforcement and internal auditing; implementing an integrated IT system for the collection of all public receivables and access of third parties to the information purposing improvement of tax collections; relevant application of HRM information systems, finance management systems and systems for information management envisaging building data warehouse and information sharing capabilities; taxpayer accounting, payment processing, revenue accounting, assessment module VAT, income and corporate tax, taxpayer registration; support the Year end closing procedures and development of electronic services or the Taxpayers.
